| Comments (English): Very nice place,located very close to Dadonghai beach. Our double room was new,but not very big(this is normal for China). I liked the style of the room,which was also full of small but usefull things We were pleased to find out,that the breakfast was included into a room rate, this is rather a small hotel than a hostel. | Comments (English): I can't say enough about this little gem. I was getting a bit overwhelmed in Shanghai with the constant people in your face every time you turn around, and booked myself for a "destination unknown" little escape down to Sanya. I booked the first night at another hotel in the Dadonghai area, just to have a base of operations to scout around. Checking into that other hotel was a chore, as the English level was near zippola, and my mandarin, which usually works just fine in Shanghai - seemed to fall flat on its face. If I spoke Russian, it might have helped, since that is generally the target clientele for the area. After a little internet surfing I spotted the Sunny Sanya hotel, and decided to take a walk down the boardwalk to see if it was for real. Voila! It was exactly the kickback haven I was looking for. A Bed and Breakfast kind of relaxed vibe, with a friendly and English-fluent staff - they effectively captured the perfect relaxed beach atmosphere that is so missing in most of the other hotels stuffed with uptight Russians. Nothing against Russians, as the sights of the Russian beauties on the beach are a definite attraction, but they really don't have much of a "beach culture" in their nation, and it seems hard for them to chill out, pop a Corona, and let the sun and surf dissolve the tensions. The Sunny Sanya, though, exudes this philosophy in spades. And...right next to the Sunny Sanya is a BIG hotel with really nice grounds and a huge pristine pool overlooking the beach. The cool thing is - the Sunny Sanya has an arrangement for joint use of the pool (costing just 6RMB a visit!). Can't beat that. I had the place pretty much to myself too. Spacious enough to do some real long laps, or some real long naps, if you're less energetically inclined. All this, coupled with prices that seem like a misprint on the low side - make this the best value on the boardwalk. And if you take my advice and scarf a room down there - just please make sure you leave one for me. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Comments (English): Thank you so much of your suberb arrangements during our holiday in Sanya! Specially we fell in love with Sunny Sanya Inn. And we also had a good luck with the weather. Our adopted daughter felt like being at home, she was specially proud that Caddie, the owner treated her as almost her child. Yin said that Caddie is the first real friend for her from China. | Comments (English): The Sunny Sanya Family INN is located in front of a dive tour shop and a few steps beyond that is the Dadonghai (bay) ocean. The Dadonghai bay city center is an easy walk (5 min) either on the beach or on the board walk at the beach edge, which is lined with bars and restaurants. I think for the money this place is great. The staff are really great people, the rooms are clean with internet access and satellite TV (HBO, STARS). | Comments (English): It is close to the beach Offers many tours, such as climbing the 7 angel mountain/monkey island Good breakfast and most of all the young Hainan girls who work here are absolutely the nicest people; it was a pleasure talking to them, their English was not great but manageable. | Comments (English): this hotel is clean and reasonably priced; it has an excellent location within a few steps of dandonghai bay, the best swimming, snorkeling and beach area we found in sanya. the staff were very helpful and courteous. they offer a free breakfast in the cafeteria and internet service in the lobby the weather this time of year is very pleasant-- there are lots of eating places and bars ( some with live music and dancing) along the beach area of dandonghai bay-- stay open until the late hours all-in-all, a good place to -- not fancy, but clean and a nice location with nice people to assist you | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
